This is a whole mount of the nematode. Features
to note are:
1-2cm long nematode found in the colon of ruminants, principally sheet
& goats
Large buccal capsule at
the anterior giving it the common name of "large-mouthed bowel worm"
Large bursa with long projecting
spicules at the posterior end is characteristic of the male of this
species.
The bursa is absent from the female which has a tapered posterior
