Trichuris - adults on mucosal surface

Group: Non-bursate, non-migratory nematode
Host species: sheep, cattle, pigs, dog
Features:

 The white bodies are the posterior ends of female Trichuris worms which are filled with eggs. The filamentous anterior end is buried in the mucosa.

 The posterior end of the male is less prominent and often tightly coiled
