Toxocara cati - anterior region

Group: Non-bursate, migratory, ascarid nematode
Host species: Felines 
Features:
  •  Stout white worms found in the intestine or passed in faeces
  • Three-lipped mouth, characteristic of ascarids
  • Cervical alae short and wide, giving the worm an arrow-like appearance
  • Distinguished from Toxascaris leonina by the shape of the cervical alae
