Parascaris equorum - adults passed in faeces

Group: Non-bursate, migratory ascarid nematode
Host species: Equines
Features:
  • Very large, creamy-white worms with no obvious morphological features
  • Up to 40 cms long, female usually longer than male
  • Can appear in faeces after drug treatment or "immune expulsion"
