Haemonchus - male bursa

Group: Bursate, non-migratory, trichostrongylid nematode
Host species: Cattle, sheep, goats
Features:
  •  Large fleshy structure at posterior end of worm
  • Only found on males
  • Bursa supported by rays
  • Surrounds a pair of spicules
  • Bursa and spicules used during copulation
