Only rubber ring castrated lambs, showing rolling, kicking etc. were butted in this way, even though lambs castrated by other methods, surgery and Burdizzo were also present in the same pen. However, these latter lambs were lying or standing quietly.  Only control and Burdizzo and rubber ring castrated and tail docked lambs showed this form of aggression.
