Most of the trembling behaviour seen in lambs after rubber ring castration is delayed until 30 to 90 minutes after treatment (when other activity has reduce in incidence). This is in contrast to the trembling behaviour seen immediately after Burdizzo castration of lambs. Not all rubber ring castrated lambs show trembling, though most Burdizzo or surgically castrated animals do.
